The Polish authorities have activated additional protective measures after receiving information about a possible attack directed against the Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz. The warning has triggered the immediate action of high-ranking government officials and the coordination of several agencies responsible for national security.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior, Karolina Galeck, explained that the Minister of the Interior, Marcin Kierwinski, along with the coordinator of the special services, Tomasz Siemoniak, ordered these actions to be implemented after evaluating the data sent by the Police.

"In relation to the information received by the Polish Police concerning a possible attack against Prime Minister Donald Tusk, as well as against Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, actions have been ordered in this regard," Galecka stated in a statement released on social media.

The spokesperson also announced the holding this Sunday, at 11:00 a.m. (local time), of a meeting at the Anti-Terrorism Center of the Internal Security Agency (ABW). Representatives from the Police, the State Protection Service (SOP), and members of the agency itself will attend this meeting, although no additional information has been provided at this time regarding the type of threat, who might be behind it, or the level of detail being worked on in the investigation.

These investigations are taking place in a climate of concern for security in Poland, where authorities have intensified police operations following several violent episodes in educational institutions. The most recent occurred this Saturday at a school in Warsaw, the capital, where three women were injured by a knife, according to information provided by the Police. This is the third attack of this type in a school in the country in just four days.

In this context, the Polish Police have announced a wide deployment aimed at ensuring the safety of minors, young people, and staff in educational institutions across the country. According to a report made public by the force, by 6:00 a.m. there had been 275 incidents related to possible criminal offenses and 117 people had been arrested. Inspections have been carried out in more than 64,000 facilities as part of these operations.

The Minister of the Interior has emphasized the magnitude of these measures and the permanent vigilance of the police forces, and has reiterated that the agents continue to investigate all suspicions of crimes and monitor the network continuously, 24 hours a day.
