The Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) has reported that it has received data from the authorities of the United States about alleged plans to carry out a "terrorist attack" in the Russian capital, Moscow.
"We have received information from the Americans about the preparation of a terrorist attack in Moscow through a partner channel. The department has informed and the appropriate measures are being adopted," the FSB explained, cited by the Russian news agency TASS.
At the beginning of this month, the presidents of the United States, Donald Trump, and of Russia, Vladimir Putin, made known an agreement to resume diesel shipments, which will continue at least until April 2027, a decision that has generated unease in Ukraine.
With this controversial understanding, signed on the eve of the midterm elections of November 3, Trump seeks to contain the rise in diesel prices and, consequently, moderate inflation, which has been directly impacting key sectors of his electoral base, such as transportation, agriculture, and livestock farming.
