The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has expressed his condolences to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the occasion of the third anniversary of the attacks carried out by Palestinian militias, which caused more than 1,200 deaths in Israeli territory and triggered the subsequent military offensive on the Gaza Strip.

"I spoke with Bibi Netanyahu and wished him the best," Trump noted in brief statements to the media at the White House, just before boarding a flight to Texas.

The American leader has evoked the date of 7-O as "a horrible day, a horrible tragedy" and emphasized that "the other side," referring to Hamas and other Palestinian militias, "is paying a huge price for what they did."

For his part, the Vice President of the United States, JD Vance, has joined the message of condolence for the attack, which he has described as "one of the worst Islamic terrorist attacks of our lives," before honoring the victims. "May their memory be a blessing," he wrote on social media.
