The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has communicated this Friday that he has reached an "agreement" with Denmark and Greenland whereby the North American country assumes "permanent control" over the security of the island.
"I am pleased to announce that the United States has signed an agreement with the Kingdom of Denmark and Greenland that grants the United States permanent control over security and all other needs in Greenland, which completely resolves all of our numerous concerns," he has stated on his social media.
The American leader has also emphasized that this pact will not imply "any cost" for his Administration.
