At 18:00 hours the polling stations will close and the scrutiny will officially begin. From that moment on, German televisions and media will be able to broadcast their exit polls and first forecasts.
These data are not official results. They are compiled from surveys conducted with voters as they leave the polling stations and provide a first approximation of the distribution of votes.

The first data from the counting is expected around 19:30 hours. From that moment on, the electoral authority will gradually incorporate the counted votes from the different polling stations and districts.

The counting will continue throughout the night. The complete provisional result of the elections to the regional Parliament of Berlin is expected around 01:30 hours on Monday, September 21.
