Comuns, IU, Sumar and Más Madrid have urged this Saturday to "resist" the current scenario of the legislature and to reinforce the Government's action in areas such as housing, with the aim of consolidating the Executive's progressive policies.
The four parties launched this message at an event held in Barcelona, under the slogan "A step forward," which was attended by the Ministers of Culture, Ernest Urtasun; Health, Mónica García; and Social Rights, Consumer Affairs and Agenda 2030, Pablo Bustinduy. The federal coordinator of IU, Antonio Maíllo, the general coordinator of Sumar, Lara Hernández, and the co-spokesperson for Comuns and deputy for Sumar, Gerardo Pisarello, also spoke.
In his speech, Bustinduy announced that they will re-register the housing decree in the Congress of Deputies "as soon as possible," along with the extension of rent controls, and stressed that everything that workers have gained must not be transformed into private profit for a rent-seeking machine.
