The candidacy of Irene Montero for Madrid for the general elections on November 29 will incorporate as number two the Podemos leader Tito Morano, and will also include in the top positions the former advisor Dina Bousselham and the former regional deputy in the Assembly of Madrid Serigne Mbayé.

According to what the formation has conveyed, the trans activist and member of the state executive of Podemos, Mar Cambrollé, will be the one to head the list for Seville, while in the constituency of Mallorca the number one will be Lucía Muñoz, former deputy in Congress.

The coordinator of Podemos in the Valencian Community, María Teresa Pérez, will occupy the first place of the Compromís-Frente Valenciano candidacy for Alicante, as was established in the primary process held last week.

Morano, who was also a regional deputy, works as a labor lawyer and participated in the legal case against the former president of the CEOE Gerardo Díaz Ferrán. In addition, he is part of the state leadership of Podemos.

For its part, the party emphasizes that Bousselham is involved in the feminist movement and in the defense of the rights of migrant people, just like Mbayé, a Senegalese-born activist, member of the street vendor union in Madrid and secretary of anti-racism of Podemos.

Bousselham was an advisor to the former leader of Podemos Pablo Iglesias and is known in public opinion for the access that former commissioner José Manuel Villarejo had to the content of a mobile phone card that was stolen from Bousselham in November 2015. The National Court sentenced Villarejo to three and a half years in prison for leaking data from that card.

Meanwhile, Serigne Mbaye reported in March of this year "police violence" after being detained by police officers near his home for alleged resistance to authority and disobedience.

On Irene Montero's list will also be the LGTBI rights activist Boti García Rodrigo, who was the director general of Sexual Diversity and LGTBI Rights with the former Minister of Equality, and Simón de la Riva, a childhood educator and member of the Labor Platform of Early Childhood Schools (PLEI).

Other constituencies

In Catalonia, the reference of the formation will be the councilor of the City Council of Sabadell Alejandra Sandoval, who will occupy the sixth position as an independent in the ERC lists for the Barcelona constituency, by virtue of the agreement reached between the 'purples' and the republicans.

The historic trans activist and member of the purple Executive Mar Cambrollé will lead the list for Seville, while Manuel Pravia, spokesperson and delegate of the Stevedores Union in Avilés, will be the head of the list for Asturias.

In turn, Lucía Muñoz, current councilor in the Palma City Council and housing secretary of Podemos, will be number one for the Balearic Islands and also participated in the Global Sumud Flotilla in support of Gaza. Finally, Pérez will be a candidate for Alicante and is also part of the state executive of Podemos.

The organization emphasizes that the team of Irene Montero brings together profiles from trade unionism and social activism, chosen in the open primaries of last week, in which 26,590 people participated.
