The President of the Government and PSOE candidate for re-election, Pedro Sánchez, will return this Friday to the pre-campaign for the general elections of November 29 with a rally in the city of Valencia. He thus resumes the electoral agenda that was paralyzed last week after the Urda railway accident (Toledo), according to party sources have indicated to Europa Press.

From the socialist leadership they explain that the meeting will be "open" and will bring together "the whole party", the membership, and "all the people who want to join". They insist that, although the tone of the campaign "is going to change" after the railway accident recorded last Wednesday in the province of Toledo, "the strength" of the socialists "remains the same". The event will be held in the afternoon, at 6:30 p.m., at the Cabanyal-Canyamelar sports center, in the Valencian capital.

It is planned that the heads of the PSPV list to Congress for Valencia, Castellón and Alicante, Pilar Bernabé, María Jiménez and Toni Francés, as well as the Senate candidates, led by Juan Antonio Sagredo in the Valencia constituency, will attend. The presence of the general secretary of the PSPV and Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Diana Morant, together with other party officials, is also expected.

Sánchez's last visit to the province of Valencia took place on October 20, when he traveled to Oliva following the intense rains associated with dana Adam. On that occasion he announced that the Council of Ministers would approve the declaration of a catastrophe zone for the affected municipalities, and that the central Government would enable economic aid for reconstruction and would speed up hiring "so that normality is restored as soon as possible".

Two days after the rally in the city of València, on Sunday, Sánchez will speak at another pre-campaign event in Bilbao. Initially, Vitoria was scheduled to be the first Basque capital to host a rally under the slogan "The Strength of the People", but that event, like the rest of the scheduled pre-election events, was suspended after the Toledo accident.

Last October 17, the head of the Executive and candidate for re-election launched his pre-campaign for the general elections of November 29 in Fuenlabrada (Madrid). Afterwards he embarked on a tour of different parts of the country, which was put on hold on October 28.
