Sumar has registered a formal request for information in Congress to clarify whether the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Juanfran Pérez Llorca, was invited by the Royal Spanish Football Federation to the final of the World Cup held this Sunday in the United States, as well as the specific amount of the ticket to the match and whether his travel as the highest regional authority involved any type of indirect expense.

The initiative has been presented by the deputies of the plurinational group Alberto Ibáñez (Compromís) and Nahuel González (IU), through a series of parliamentary questions focused on Pérez Llorca's trip to the match held this Sunday, in which the Spanish national team was proclaimed world champion.

Last night, Pérez Llorca himself insisted that his trip to the United States to attend the World Cup final was paid for "out of his own pocket."

"I have nothing to hide," he stated in a message disseminated on social media, in which he lashed out at the left after both PSPV and Compromís requested documentation regarding this trip to the United States, considering that there are "contradictions" regarding how Llorca obtained the pass to watch the final live.

In light of this situation, the two deputies are demanding detailed information about the trip and the reasons for the invitation issued by the federative body and the role of the Higher Sports Council, given that "taking into account the high price of the tickets for this match" they consider it essential to know the criteria used to allocate tickets to the Valencian president.

In this regard, Ibáñez and González request that it be specified what type of ticket or accreditation was given to Pérez Llorca, what its market price was, and "which entity covered its cost."

Sumar requests clarification on expenses and distribution of invitations

"Did the Royal Spanish Football Federation, directly or indirectly, assume any expenses for travel, accommodation, food, transportation, or representation of Juan Francisco Pérez Llorca or his companions?" ask the two representatives of Sumar in Congress.

Likewise, the parliamentarians demand to know how many invitations the Royal Federation distributed among authorities and if the Government considers it appropriate for the federation to allocate resources to cover the tickets of the Valencian president, as well as the specific reasons for which the invitation was extended.

"Does the Higher Sports Council plan to request detailed information from the Royal Spanish Football Federation about the distribution, cost, and financing of these invitations?", conclude the deputies in their writing.

On social media, Deputy Nahuel González has emphasized the need to clarify the free tickets and the trips to the World Cup, expressly citing the case of Pérez Llorca and "people from the Valencian PP".
