The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has applauded that the different aspirants to lead Nuevas Generaciones have opted to run integrated into a single candidacy. That unitary list will be headed by Ignacio Dancausa, until now the highest responsible for NNGG in Madrid, while the Murcian Antonio Landáburu will serve as vice president. "A united youth is the key to a strong Spain," Feijóo stated.
In a message disseminated through the social network X, the leader of the 'popular' party highlighted that Dancausa, Landáburu, and Candela Anglès—a deputy in the Valencian Courts who was also competing for the presidency of NNGG—"take on the challenge of leading a generation that cannot waste more time in the face of real challenges."
In this way, Feijóo wanted to emphasize issues such as "housing, employment, family, and mental health" as priorities and stressed that "all together" they will "work to overcome them."
Agreement for a single candidacy
Dancausa and Landáburu have disseminated a video together with Candela Anglés in which the three explain that they have decided to unite their "strength" for the conclave in July.
The deadline to register endorsements concluded last Wednesday, June 3. The Regulations establish that, to be proclaimed a candidate for the national presidency of NNGG, it is essential to "present the support of at least 250 members." Furthermore, "at least 140 of these endorsements must come from seven different autonomous communities, in a number that must not be less than 20 endorsements in each of them."
The organizing committee meets this June 4 to formalize the proclamation of candidacies, although the aspirants have finally closed a pact and will present themselves with a single list to the conclave that will be held in Valladolid.
