The general secretary of Vox, Ignacio Garriga, has assured that the PSOE has transformed Barcelona this Saturday into "the capital of criminal left-wing politics", alluding to the celebration of the IV Meeting in Defense of Democracy and the Global Progressive Mobilisation (GPM), which is taking place at Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat.

In statements made from outside the venue, he has attacked several international leaders participating in these events, such as the "narco-president" of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum; the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, whom he has stated financed his campaign with money from drug trafficking; and the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, whom he holds responsible for imprisoning those who oppose his government.

"Today here in Barcelona, under the umbrella of democracy and freedom, the worst criminals, the worst narco-dictators, and the greatest threat to democracy anywhere in the world are meeting," he stated.

In this line, consider that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, "welcomes the worst dregs of criminal left-wing politics", although he has added that this Saturday it will be seen, in his opinion, how the Spanish people rise above it and express their support for the Nobel Peace Prize winner and Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado, who at 5:30 PM will receive the Gold Medal of the Community of Madrid.

Likewise, he has reproached the PP for applauding Petro in Congress and for giving him the Golden Keys of Madrid, in the same way that the Community now distinguishes Machado: "One must be clear. Either one is with the criminal left or one is with the freedom of María Corina Machado. And that is what we demand here today."
