The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, has reiterated this Thursday his support for the Director General of the Civil Guard, Mercedes González, and the Deputy Operational Director (DAO), Manuel Llamas, after both have been charged in the 'Leire Díez case'.
From the department headed by Grande-Marlaska, they have emphasized that "They will continue to exercise their functions as before and showing maximum collaboration with Justice in everything that is required of them", once the judicial decision in the case investigated by the National High Court judge, Santiago Pedraz, is known.
The judge has agreed to charge these two high-ranking officers of the Armed Institute following the request made by both the Prosecutor's Office and the popular accusations, led by the PP.
