The UCAM Murcia receives Barça this Sunday in the second round of the Liga Endesa 2026/27, a match that pits two teams arriving at the start of the championship with different feelings. The azulgrana team debuted the competition with a resounding victory of 119-101 against Leyma Coruña, while the Murcians fell 84-77 on the FIATC Girona court and will seek their first win of the season in front of their fans.
The match will be held at the Palacio de Deportes de Murcia starting at 19:00 hours, Spanish peninsular time, one hour less in the Canary Islands. The ACB officially includes the UCAM Murcia-Barça as the match that closes the Sunday round of October 4.
What time does UCAM Murcia play against Barça
The UCAM Murcia-Barça starts at 19:00 hours this Sunday, October 4. The Liga Endesa day includes other matches beforehand such as Casademont Zaragoza-Valencia Basket, at 17:00 hours, and Kosner Baskonia-FIATC Girona, at 18:00, before the Murcians and Catalans close the day.
The appointment comes in a particularly demanding week for Barcelona. The azulgrana team has accumulated more than 10,000 kilometers of travel between its commitments in Dubai and Turkey before traveling to Murcia. In the Euroleague, they lost against Dubai Basketball and then reacted with a victory in Turkey before facing their first league away game.

Barça arrives after scoring 119 points in their debut
The blue and claret team started the Liga Endesa leaving one of the highest scores of the first matchday. They won against Leyma Coruña by 119-101 at the Palau Blaugrana after breaking the match definitively in a last quarter that ended 34-22. Olek Balcerowski scored 21 points, Tyrese Martin added 16 and Darío Brizuela finished with 15, in a game where seven Barça players surpassed the ten-point barrier.
The team led by Aleksandar Sekulic arrives, however, with a roster conditioned by the absences of Makoundou, Evboumwan and Nebo, which is forcing the coach to redistribute minutes during this demanding start of the season. Barça also faces a campaign of significant changes after incorporating numerous players during the summer.
UCAM Murcia seeks to react in front of their fans
For the team of Sito Alonso, the match represents the opportunity to open their win column. UCAM Murcia started the championship losing 84-77 against FIATC Girona, so they arrive at the second matchday with a record of 0-1 and against one of the most demanding rivals in the competition.
The Palacio de Deportes will also be a familiar setting for both. UCAM Murcia and Barça featured in June an intense quarter-final playoff series for the 2025/26 season. The Catalans won the first match by 68-91, the Murcians responded in Barcelona with an 87-90 and Barça ended up qualifying by winning 76-100 in the third match played in Murcia.
The series left, therefore, a recent precedent of maximum equality despite the width of the scores in the two blue and claret victories. Months later, both meet again in the same pavilion, this time at the beginning of a season in which Barça seeks to confirm its powerful offensive debut and UCAM needs to react after falling in Girona.
