The Ministry of Agriculture, Water, Livestock, and Fisheries has promoted in the first half of 2026 the training of 3,600 professionals in the agricultural sector through 101 courses and workshops, which have amounted to nearly 917 teaching hours, as detailed by the Generalitat in a statement.

This offer, coordinated by the Technology Transfer Service, has combined in-person sessions with online training to facilitate that farmers and ranchers access technical knowledge, innovation, and new management tools for their farms.

The General Director of Common Agricultural Policy, Ángel Marhuenda, has emphasized that training is "one of the best tools for farmers and ranchers to incorporate innovation, improve the profitability of their farms, and adapt with guarantees to the new challenges of the agri-food sector."

Of the total actions carried out, 84 have been developed in person and have gathered 2,684 attendees, while the online modality has concentrated 1,916 students through 17 courses, divided between self-training proposals and tutored programs.

In this first semester, new actions "adapted to the needs of the sector" have been incorporated. Among them are the introductory course to beekeeping, taught in a telepresence format; the practical introductory course on cheese making, which combines theoretical training with practices in cheese factories; and the course on commercial management and agri-food marketing, focused on strengthening the marketing and positioning of agri-food products.

The in-person training has also had wide participation in technical workshops focused on key areas for the sector, such as innovation and sustainability in viticulture, fertilization recommendation systems, the digitalization of extensive livestock farming, or the genetic improvement of traditional varieties of vine and tomato.

Ángel Marhuenda has highlighted that the programming "evolves every year to respond to the real demands of the sector, incorporating increasingly specialized content and strengthening the transfer of knowledge from research to agricultural farms."
