The Parliament of Andalusia has launched a new public tender, with a budget of around 360,000 euros, to maintain the life and accident insurance policy that benefits the deputies and the staff working in the autonomous Chamber.
This is stated in the documentation available about this file on the electronic bidding platform of the Parliament, consulted by Europa Press, where it details that the object of the contract is the "life and accident insurance for the group of deputies and the staff of the Parliament of Andalusia."
Interested companies may submit their bids until September 7. The base bidding budget, set for an initial duration of one year, amounts to 359,600 euros, "including applicable taxes and surcharges."
The justification report recalls that the Parliament of Andalusia, "in order to fulfill the commitments made in the field of social provision with the groups of deputies and the staff at their service," maintains in force a life and accident insurance contract for these groups.
This current contract, with an execution period of two years and a start date of November 8, 2023, was "extended to its maximum planned term, of one year, by agreement of the Table of the Parliament of Andalusia on September 10, 2025," as specified in the document. Thus, it is indicated that, "with the end of the validity" of the policy approaching on November 7, it is essential to formalize a new contract, with the provision that it begins to apply on November 8, 2026.
The estimated value of the contract, set at 359,600 euros, is divided into two annual payments of 179,800 euros each, corresponding to one semester of 2026 and another of 2027. The breakdown includes 226,800 euros allocated to the insurance of the deputies, 127,300 euros for officials and temporary staff, and 5,500 euros for the policies of the labor staff of the Parliament.
