The parliamentary groups of ERC, Comuns, and CUP have registered a request for the Minister of Interior and Public Security of the Generalitat, Núria Parlon, to appear before the Interior Commission of the Parlament, along with the General Director of Prevention, Fire Extinction, and Rescue, Tamara Garcia. The objective is for them to detail the level of execution of the agreement signed in 2023 for the improvement of the working conditions of the Bombers corps.
In a joint statement released this Wednesday, the three formations also demand that the session serve to clarify the labor conflict that has caused the paralysis of the training activities of the Escola de Bombers and to know what measures the Govern plans to "unblock" the situation.
Additionally, they request that the minister inform about the accreditation of volunteer firefighters, the planning of training for new recruits, the schedule of transfers and reinforcements of the parks, as well as the working conditions and the prevention of occupational risks that have been the subject of complaints by the representatives of the staff.
