The president of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, and the president of the Parliament, Josep Rull, have transferred this Tuesday their support to the people injured in the accident of a coach in Lleida, which crashed into the facade of a building on Rambla Ferran, as well as to their families.

"We hope that the injured people recover," Illa stressed before starting the control session in the plenary of the Parliament, where he explained that he had telephoned the mayor of Lleida, Fèlix Larrosa, first thing this Tuesday to express his support.

Rull, for his part, has also conveyed his affection to those injured in the accident and their loved ones, has wished a speedy recovery for all of them, and has acknowledged the work carried out by the emergency and security services.

Also joining the expressions of solidarity and support for those affected, during the plenary session, were the leader of Junts in the Parliament, Mònica Sales; the president of the parliamentary group of ERC, Josep Maria Jové; the new general secretary of the Catalan PP and deputy in the Chamber, Juan Fernández, and the leader of AC, Núria Orriols.

As of 9:45 this Wednesday, the Medical Emergency Service (SEM) has updated the number of injured to 43, of whom 11 are in critical or serious condition and 32 have minor injuries.
