The PP spokesperson in Les Corts, Nando Pastor, has expressed himself "happy and satisfied" with the "political stability" that, in his opinion, the presentation of the Generalitat's budgets for 2026 brings, and has highlighted the 'president' Juanfran Pérez Llorca's "outstretched hand and capacity for dialogue and reaching agreements": "It is not empty words, it is not a slogan, it is a reality".

Pastor made these statements to the media this Friday, after the Minister of Finance, José Antonio Rovira, registered the budget project in Les Corts and handed it over to the president of the Valencian parliament, Llanos Massó, in an event that no PSPV representative attended and to which, on behalf of Compromís, only Mª Josep Amigó attended as a member of the Board.

After Vox claimed the inclusion of the principle of national priority in the regional accounts, the 'popular' party specified that the issue of "roots" will be incorporated into the accompanying law, "even if it does not appear in a specific item".

"From the Popular Parliamentary Group --we are-- happy and satisfied to see that the political stability that Juanfran Pérez Llorca instills in Valencian politics makes it possible for the Generalitat Valenciana's budgets to be presented today," Pastor stated, emphasizing that this "is always a cause for satisfaction, it is a cause for joy".

In the same vein, he insisted that "President Pérez Llorca's outstretched hand, capacity for dialogue and reaching agreements is not empty words, it is not a slogan, it is a reality and the best proof today is that budgets for 2026 have been presented".

When asked about the most relevant items in the accounts, the spokesperson indicated that he was going to "listen to them now from the 'president' of the Generalitat, the highest authority" of the regional administration. "Therefore, we are all running there to see if we can take note of the fine print," he commented before attending the Palau de la Generalitat for the presentation event.

The issue of "roots" and national priority

Later, in a post on the social network X, the PPCV has clarified the treatment of roots in the budgets: "It is a commitment of the whole society and will be included in the law of measures, even if it does not appear in a specific economic item. The PP always fulfills its commitments. And, of course, we fulfill the agreements. We continue working for everyone, with responsibility and dialogue."

Previously, the spokesperson for Vox in Les Corts, José Mª Llanos, had defended that the principle of national priority is one of the three pillars that support the agreement between his party and the PP to move forward with the Generalitat budgets for 2026, and has stressed that said principle is already contemplated in the regional accounts presented this Friday by the head of the Consell, Juanfran Pérez Llorca. "Yes, it will be there because it already is," he stressed.

"Ours first," Llanos claimed, who advocated for promoting "measures of roots" and establishing "a historical accumulated amount to be able to access those homes with priority for those who pay for them, those who sustain them, and those who deserve them."
