The president of the Popular Party in Castilla-La Mancha, Paco Núñez, has lashed out at the head of the regional Executive, Emiliano García-Page, for referring to Ceuta "after 26 days" and doing so, as he emphasized, with "four phrases to try to look good and to try to seem like he is on the side of the suffering and the general feeling of the Spaniards."
In statements to the media in Toledo, Núñez has considered it especially serious that "García-Page has temporarily returned from his vacation to justify that the situation could not be addressed because the events occurred in August." According to what the PP has disseminated in a press release, he emphasized that "It is surreal that Page intends to justify the lack of action by claiming that the invasion occurred during the vacation period."
The leader of the Castilian-Manchego populars has insisted that "Because, in addition, the reality of thousands of Castilian-Manchegos is that 38% cannot afford even a week of vacation. There are 825,000 citizens and Page has been a month. The hypocrisy of the leader of Castilian-Manchego socialism knows no bounds."
Furthermore, he criticized that, while García-Page in the morning "seemed" to criticize the Sánchez Government, in the afternoon he gave instructions to PSOE officials to avoid attending the gatherings called in the municipalities in support of the people of Ceuta.
Núñez concluded by denouncing that "The PSOE of Page in the morning criticizes Sánchez and in the afternoon says that there should be no gathering to criticize Sánchez. Another scene from the theater to which Page has unfortunately accustomed the Castilian-Manchegos."
