The Royal Post House, headquarters of the Government of the Community of Madrid located in Puerta del Sol, will display this Wednesday the colors of the flag of Ceuta on the occasion of the Day of the autonomous city, which is celebrated every September 2.
With this gesture, the regional Executive led by Isabel Díaz Ayuso aims to showcase the "support" and "solidarity" of the people of Madrid towards the residents of Ceuta, who for more than a month "have been suffering the consequences of the invasion," according to statements from the regional government.
On that same Wednesday, the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) has called on municipalities across Spain to organize gatherings in support of the population of Ceuta, starting at 8:00 PM.
Days earlier, the Secretary General of the PP of Madrid, Alfonso Serrano, demanded "massive" participation in these calls and expressed his "conviction" that the region's reaction will be "massive" in response to "something as important as defending the integrity of the national territory" and its "compatriots" from Ceuta.
