The rains and storms that marked the end of May and the beginning of June in different parts of the Comunitat Valenciana have led many citizens to consult meteorological forecasts to know what weather awaits them in the coming days. After several warnings activated by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), attention is now focused on the evolution of the situation and the possibility of stability returning to the province of Valencia.

Official forecasts point precisely in that direction. After days of atmospheric instability, Aemet forecasts a progressive improvement in the weather, with less risk of precipitation and milder temperatures than those recorded during the most recent episodes.

The warnings activated by Aemet

During the last few days, Aemet activated yellow warnings for rain and storms in different areas of the Comunitat Valenciana. The forecast contemplated the possibility of locally intense precipitation accompanied by electrical activity, a situation that led to maintaining meteorological surveillance in several points of the territory.

The instability was also accompanied by a thermal decrease compared to previous days, ending a period marked by higher temperatures in a large part of the eastern peninsula.

The storms and showers particularly affected inland areas and different points in the province of Valencia, where the meteorological forecasts generated notable interest among the population.

What weather now awaits Valencia

According to the forecasts of the State Meteorological Agency, the situation will tend to stabilize gradually in the coming days. The probability of rain will decrease compared to previous days, and the skies will tend to show cloudy intervals with less stormy phenomena.

Temperatures will remain at more moderate values after the decrease associated with the instability episode. Although values typical of early June will continue to be recorded, the forecast does not point to an immediate return of particularly adverse weather situations.

The evolution predicted by Aemet therefore suggests a transition towards a calmer scenario after several days marked by precipitation and storms that forced the activation of warnings in different parts of the Comunitat Valenciana.

Pending future updates

Despite the expected improvement, Aemet recommends continuing to follow official updates of its forecasts and warnings, especially at a time of year when the atmosphere can experience relatively rapid changes.

Weather forecasts are continuously updated based on the evolution of atmospheric conditions, so the situation may vary in the coming days.

For the moment, the trend reflected in the official forecasts is one of progressive normalization of the weather in Valencia after an episode that has left rain, storms, and weather warnings in several areas of the Valencian Community.
