Bankinter has launched a new WhatsApp assistant supported by generative artificial intelligence (AI), accessible to both customers and non-customers, as the entity has communicated.

The financial entity emphasizes that this assistant "does not use users' private data and complies with the highest standards of security and protection." The service is available 24 hours a day, does not access customers' confidential information, and does not allow for banking operations.

The development of the project has been carried out transversally from the CRM area, in coordination with the Generative AI Projects, IT Security, Technological Risks, and Legal Counsel teams. "The development has been carried out in such a way that it meets the highest security standards and guarantees maximum robustness, reliability, and protection against attempts at manipulation or misuse of the system," Bankinter has stated.

This WhatsApp assistant offers users the possibility to ask their questions in natural language and receive "more precise, agile, contextualized, and multilingual responses," always based on the public information available on the Bankinter website.
