Clifford Chance, prestigious law firm based in the United Kingdom, closed its last fiscal year on April 30 with a profit of £1.05 billion (€1.23 billion), representing an 11% increase compared to the same period of the previous year.

In parallel, the firm's revenue rose to £2.6 billion (around €3 billion), 9% more, while the profit per equity partner stood at £2.3 million (€2.7 million), also 9% higher.

Since the 2022-2023 fiscal year, the firm has accumulated an increase of £638 million (€748 million) in revenue and £295 million (€345 million) in profits, highlighting a 65% surge in billing in the United States.

By geographical areas, the advance was widespread: Europe --including the United Kingdom-- increased its revenue by 7%, the Middle East recorded a rise of 12%, and Asia Pacific shot up its billing by 26% supported by the reactivation of capital markets, while America grew by 9%.

The firm explained that the demand for legal advice continues to be backed by structural transformations in sectors such as technology and artificial intelligence, health and life sciences, defense, renewable energies, and infrastructure, including data centers and other digital infrastructures.

"With the return of confidence to global mergers and acquisitions activity, we have advised on some of the largest and most complex M&A and private equity transactions in the world. Our work in the major business and investment centers demonstrates the value of our global platform, our sector knowledge, and the strength of our growing capabilities in the U.S.," said the global managing partner of Clifford Chance, Charles Adams.
