The Tax Agency will begin to provide telephone assistance to taxpayers for the Income Tax return corresponding to the 2025 fiscal year starting this Wednesday, within the "We Call You" plan, for which it has been possible to request an appointment since last April 29.
Along with the telephone service for the preparation and filing of tax returns (plan "We Call You"), today also launches the special assistance plan in small municipalities, also with prior appointment available from April 29.
Hacienda reminds that it will only contact taxpayers about the Income Tax Campaign if they have requested an appointment through one of the enabled channels. When the call occurs, it will be made exclusively from the number 913335333.
For this reason, declarants are advised to save this number in their phone's contacts to easily recognize calls from the Tax Agency.
"Do not answer calls from other phone numbers, blocked calls, or messages on mobile messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, etc., that identify themselves as being from the Tax Agency in relation to the Income Tax Campaign," the Administration urged in a recent note.
If calls are received from phones other than those indicated, the Tax Agency requests the collaboration of citizens by communicating it through the channels available within the institution itself.
Online tax returns from April 8
Since April 8, taxpayers can file their Income Tax return electronically. The general filing deadline will extend until June 30, for both returns to be paid and returns to be refunded, while returns to be paid with direct debit must be filed by June 25 at the latest.
In this 2025 Income Campaign, the Tax Agency calculates revenues of 24,628 million euros, which represents an increase of 18.4% compared to the previous year, and expects to refund taxpayers 13,271 million, 3.2% less.
In total, 25,251,000 declarations are expected, 2.1% more than in the previous campaign, an increase linked to the greater dynamism of employment registered in 2025.
How the "We Call You" Plan Works
The "We Call You" plan for preparing tax returns by phone will maintain the same capacity and schedule as previous campaigns. Last year, it allowed for the preparation of 1,188,000 tax returns and continued to be the main channel for personalized taxpayer assistance.
This system offers those who need individualized help a solid alternative to in-person attention at offices, which makes it easier to advance the filing of the declaration and, if applicable, to speed up the corresponding refund.
After requesting the appointment (it is recommended to do so online or through the automatic service at 91 535 73 26) and choosing a morning or afternoon slot, the system assigns a specific day and time when the taxpayer will receive the call from the Tax Agency. To speed up the process, it is advisable to have all the necessary information and documentation ready at the time of the call.
In-person attention from June 1
In-person attention at offices will begin on June 1, with the appointment request period opening on May 29. Both telephone and in-person attention will continue to have the support of the autonomous communities and city councils.
To make an appointment, whether by phone or in person, taxpayers have a specific service on the Electronic Headquarters and in the Agency's "app", which allows them to easily select the service channel and available dates. The tool also allows filtering offices by postal code and informs of the first available appointment.
Security Alerts Against Fraud
During the 2025 Income Tax Campaign, the Tax Agency warns that cybercriminals may try to deceive taxpayers by impersonating the institution through fake emails (phishing) or SMS (smishing).
In this context, remember that it does not request by email or SMS confidential, economic or personal data, account or card numbers, nor does it send attachments with invoices or other similar information.
Likewise, the Tax Agency does not issue refunds to credit or debit cards, nor through Bizum, and does not charge any amount for the assistance services it provides.
From the Agency they recommend that, if the taxpayer receives an email supposedly sent by the Administration, they do not download attached files or click on links to obtain refunds. "In any case, if they ask you for confidential information, delete it and report it," they urged.
Likewise, if an SMS is received that appears to come from the Tax Agency with links to manage tax refunds or requests for confidential data, it is advisable to delete it and report it to the institution.
In case of detecting any fraud attempt, the Tax Agency appreciates citizen collaboration by informing through the channels enabled on the Tax Agency.
