CCOO de Industria has defined as "positive" and "successful" the 24-hour strike called this Friday at Iberdrola together with UGT FICA, with the aim of achieving a "fair" collective agreement that recognizes the contribution of the workforce to the company's historical results and safeguards their purchasing power.

According to the union, the nearly 9,000 people called to join the strike throughout the State have mostly supported the call, which constitutes the second strike of this type in a year at the electricity company.

The union organizations demand to recover the 19% of purchasing power that they calculate has been lost in the last five years, a "decent" salary, a guarantee clause linked to the CPI, and a "fair distribution" of profits. These demands oppose the company's proposal, based on increases adjusted to "company parameters," a formula that CCOO describes as "a shame" for the leading European electricity company and one of the largest on the Ibex.

The unions point out that Iberdrola obtained more than 6,285 million euros in profit in 2025 and emphasize that these record results "are only possible with the daily effort" of the workforce.

The day of protest, developed in a scenario of high temperatures, has included concentrations in front of headquarters and workplaces, as well as demonstrations in Bilbao and Valladolid.

Likewise, mobilizations have been carried out in Madrid, Ourense, Toledo, Valencia, Cádiz, Llanera (Asturias), Tarragona, Cáceres, Murcia, La Rioja, Landaben (Navarra), Motilla del Palancar (Cuenca) and Albacete, including a march that has covered the center of Bilbao throughout the morning and another that has ended in front of the Cortes de Castilla y León.
