The Andalusian PSOE has suspended the event planned for this Saturday, April 18, in Dos Hermanas (Seville), in which the general secretary of the Andalusian socialists and candidate for the Presidency of the Board, María Jesús Montero, was going to share space with the former socialist presidents of the Board of Andalusia: Rafael Escuredo, José Rodríguez de la Borbolla, Manuel Chaves, José Antonio Griñán and Susana Díaz.
The suspension responds to the death of Gracia Sánchez Caballos, wife of former Andalusian president José Rodríguez de la Borbolla, and is adopted as a sign of mourning.
The Andalusian PSOE has conveyed its condolences to the family and explained that the postponement of the meeting also responds to the express request of the other participating presidents, with the aim of accompanying Rodríguez de la Borbolla in these moments.
The PSOE-A event was framed within the pre-campaign for the regional elections of May 17. This same weekend, the socialist pre-campaign for the Andalusian elections has another important event in Gibraleón, Huelva. It will be at 11 AM on Sunday and will feature the participation of the President of the Government Pedro Sánchez, in what will be his first participation in the context of the upcoming electoral event and with the objective of supporting the candidacy of the former vice president of his Executive, María Jesús Montero.
