Andalusia votes this Sunday, May 17, in decisive regional elections and Demócrata will follow the count live from the closing of the polling stations.

The coverage will allow consulting the updated results for all of Andalusia and also province by province and at the municipal level, with the progress of the scrutiny, the distribution of seats and the evolution of the main parties.

Demócrata's special results page will offer a complete reading of May 17: who wins the Andalusian elections, how many seats each candidacy obtains and whether Juanma Moreno reaches or not the absolute majority of 55 deputies in the Parliament of Andalusia. The key to the night will not only be in the percentage of votes, but in how those votes translate into seats.

In addition to the overall result for Andalusia, Demócrata will follow the count province by province in Seville, Malaga, Cadiz, Granada, Cordoba, Almeria, Huelva, and Jaen. The provincial tracking will be key to understanding how the Andalusian Parliament is distributed and where the last seat that tips the absolute majority or opens a scenario of pacts may be decided.

Each province will have its own reading, because the Andalusian electoral system distributes the 109 deputies of the Parliament by territories and not in a single autonomous constituency.

That detail can be decisive. The last seat in a province can change hands during the count and completely alter the final majority. For this reason, election night will be followed on two levels: the autonomous map, which will say who wins, and the provincial map, which will explain where power is really decided.

The last seat can decide the absolute majority

The absolute majority in Andalusia is set at 55 seats. If Juanma Moreno's PP reaches that figure, he will be able to govern alone. If he falls short, the political scenario will open the door to negotiations and a possible dependence on Vox for the investiture.

For this reason, Demócrata will pay special attention to the evolution of the last deputy assigned in each province. Córdoba, Málaga, Cádiz, Granada, and Seville appear as some of the territories where remainders may be decisive, although any movement in Almería, Huelva, or Jaén could also modify the final sum.

An election night with national impact

The Andalusian elections on March 17 will have an immediate reading beyond Andalusia. Juanma Moreno's result will measure the PP's territorial strength, María Jesús Montero's data will mark the PSOE's pulse in one of its historic communities, and Vox will check if it manages to become a decisive actor.

Demócrata will update live the progress of the scrutiny, the distribution of seats, the provincial results, and the political keys of election night. The central question will be simple, but of enormous impact: whether Andalusia maintains an absolute majority for the PP or enters a new phase of pacts.
