The Junta de Andalucía will make public this Sunday, May 17, three informational updates with participation data in the regional elections, which will be offered at 11:30 AM, 2:00 PM, and 6:00 PM and will be explained later in different press conferences.

The announcement was made this Friday by the Minister of Health, Presidency, and Emergencies, Antonio Sanz, during a visit to the Data Dissemination Center (CDD), located in the Navigation Pavilion of Seville, where he detailed the information device planned for the coverage of the regional elections on May 17.

The first appearance of the day is scheduled for 10:30 AM, where information will be provided on the opening of polling stations—scheduled for 9:00 AM—, the constitution of the polling boards, and any incidents registered at the start of the day.

Subsequently, three more appearances will be held: at 12:00 PM, with participation data accumulated until 11:30 AM; at 2:30 PM, with participation registered at 2:00 PM; and at 6:30 PM, with the participation figure corresponding to 6:00 PM.

After the closing of the polling stations, scheduled for 8:00 PM, new appearances may occur before the accredited media at the Data Dissemination Center to communicate the progress of the scrutiny, which will be updated continuously until the count is completed.

Citizens will have real-time access to all information related to the electoral process through the official application and the enabled website "eleccionesparlamentoandalucia2026.es", where institutional appearances will also be broadcast, both live and deferred, with real-time alerts announcing the start of each intervention.

RENEWED WEB AND MOBILE APP

The new version of the web and mobile application "eleccionesparlamentoandalucia2026.es" will allow users to follow the results minute by minute and consult the last deputy awarded, facilitating the understanding of the final composition of the Parliament.

From the CDD, the data sent by the polling stations will be centralized through a renewed technological platform that introduces relevant innovations and incorporates artificial intelligence for the first time in the scrutiny verification process, thanks to the analysis of images of the minutes sent from the polling stations. This system makes it possible to automatically verify the consistency between the information sent and that reflected in the official documents, immediately detecting possible incidents.

The mechanism is based on artificial vision techniques that check the legibility of the minutes, extract the data, and compare it in real time with the communicated results, so that any difference is automatically flagged for manual review, accelerating the identification and correction of errors during the count. In addition, in the control centers, images of the minutes will be displayed simultaneously with the received data, allowing for quick verification in case of any anomaly.

The transmission of information will be carried out by 4,378 Administration representatives deployed in the polling stations, who will send the results using electronic devices. If incidents occur, the system has alternative communication channels, both telephone and automated platforms, which guarantee the arrival of data to the processing center at all times.

The system is based on a fully redundant infrastructure, with operational data centers in Seville and Madrid, which ensures service continuity in the event of any contingency. In addition, there is a global reinforcement of cybersecurity measures, which has made it possible to achieve the high level of the National Security Scheme after passing specific audits and stress tests.
