The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, upon his arrival this Friday at the Integrated Operational Coordination Center (Cecopi) in Toledo, from where the actions related to the Urda railway accident are being managed. The head of the Executive has returned to the facilities after the tragedy left at least 69 dead and has acknowledged that "it is not acceptable" that Spain has suffered two railway accidents of this magnitude in the same year.

During his visit, accompanied by the President of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page, Sánchez has admitted that there is a "broken trust" in the high-speed system and has assured that the Government will work not only to clarify the causes of the disaster, but also to offer solutions that prevent new tragedies.

Meanwhile, Moncloa reaffirms its support for the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, and demands for political accountability are growing one month before the general elections on November 29.
