The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, claims that the intensification of attacks from Ukraine against Russian territory responds to the critical situation faced by the Ukrainian government and its president, Volodymyr Zelensky, on the battlefield.

"The more difficult the situation becomes, the more brutal and barbaric their attacks are," the president of Russia has assured at the congress of his party United Russia, on the occasion of the preparations for the general elections in October.

During his speech before the delegates, the Russian leader emphasized the role of the Armed Forces and those who support the war effort.

"Now everything depends on those who work conscientiously to contribute to a victory that will be ours. I trust that our soldiers will not let us down," he stated in his appearance, reported by Russian media.

In parallel to these statements, this Saturday an attack attributed to Ukraine has caused the death of two minors and left two adults injured, all of them members of the same family, after the impact of a drone with explosives in Yeisk, in the Russian region of Krasnodar, according to regional governor Veniamin Kondratiev.

"Several drones have attacked this morning civilian infrastructure and residential buildings in the Yeisk district. A family has been the victim of a new cowardly and regrettable attack by the Kiev regime. Two minors have died and two adults are hospitalized," Kondratiev published on social media.

The regional official indicated that emergency services have arrived at the scene of the incident and are working among the remnants of the attack, which has also caused damage to several businesses in the area.

Kiev has opened Pandora's box, according to the Kremlin

In a subsequent interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, Putin also referred to the recent Ukrainian attacks on refineries and logistics centers linked to e-commerce on Russian territory, which in his opinion seek to strike the country's economy.

"The Kiev regime has set out to harm our economy. And what did it do? It opened Pandora's box itself. Okay, receive our response against the most vulnerable sectors of your economy, which by the way is on its last legs. This also refers to your agricultural production, whose export represents one of the main sources of income for the Kiev regime," Putin warned.

The Russian president has insisted that Moscow will respond to these attacks with more forceful actions.

"Do they want to destroy our logistics? We can ask our enemy. Alright, our response will not be long in coming. Here it goes. The blows from the Russian army are, of course, much more significant and destructive. I have warned it numerous times: there will always be a response," he added.

Putin has specified that this Russian reaction will be aimed at a response "that affects the possibilities (of Ukraine) to supply equipment and ammunition, as well as the rotation of troops on the front." "It also makes it difficult for Ukraine's military industry to improve its weapons, a process that is carried out with the direct participation of its Western sponsors," he pointed out, referring to the military support from Kiev's allied countries.
