Iranian authorities have communicated that, throughout Saturday, a total of 20 cargo ships have crossed the strategic Strait of Hormuz under direct coordination with Tehran, according to official sources from the country.

The Revolutionary Guard Navy, cited by the official Iranian news agency Tasnim, has emphasized that "Twenty merchant ships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz in the last 24 hours."

In the same statement, the Iranian naval force has stressed that "Rigorous control and surveillance of the Strait of Hormuz is carried out with authority, and any aggression will be responded to forcefully," in reference to the security device deployed in this key enclave for international maritime traffic.
