The highest responsible for the intelligence services of Israel, the Mossad, Roman Goffman, has met this Sunday with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria, Asad al Sheibani. The meeting takes place a few days after the recent Israeli bombings over Syrian territory, according to Israeli media citing official sources.

According to one of the sources knowledgeable about the meeting, the meeting has developed positively, although no further data has emerged nor have additional details about what was discussed been released.

The previous Tuesday, Israel carried out an attack against the Syrian military airbase of Abú Duhur and blamed Turkey for trying to strengthen its presence in those facilities, something that, according to the Israeli government, would pose a threat to its security.

For its part, the Syrian authorities have maintained that Turkey will not deploy at that base, while the United States has linked this bombing to the electoral campaign that is taking place in Israel.
