The president of the Supreme Court of the United States, John Roberts, has given the green light to President Donald Trump to proceed with the construction of the new ballroom of the White House, while the highest judicial body analyzes whether to extend this permit in a more lasting way.
With his decision, the magistrate nullifies an order from a lower court that almost completely halted the progress of the works and that was set to take effect this Friday, considering that the occupant of the White House was violating the law by maintaining the project without the approval of Congress.
Roberts' temporary instruction, drafted in just two sentences and without offering arguments for his resolution, authorizes the uninterrupted continuation of the construction of this project, valued at 400 million dollars and which is already 65% completed.
