The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Andri Sibiga, denounced this Tuesday that Russian authorities are trying to achieve "destabilization" in the border areas between Ukraine and Moldova, pointing to Russian forces as responsible for "systematic" attacks in areas near the Odesa region.

"During the night, Russia deployed several 'Shahed' drones against the international road that crosses the border between Ukraine and Moldova at the height of Vinohradivka," the minister indicated in a statement disseminated on social media.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy emphasized that this type of offensive in the border area between the two countries has already occurred three times in just two weeks. "This is a clear pattern: Russia is deliberately trying to end connectivity between our two countries and destabilize the border area," he stated.

For this reason, he urged the international community to condemn these "systematic attacks by Russia against civil transport corridors and infrastructure of vital importance at the border."

Sibiga also took the opportunity to recognize the work of Customs employees and Border Guard personnel, who "face constant risks" and who, in his opinion, "deserve solidarity and all international support, including that of border agencies and international organizations."
