The United States Army has communicated that its aviation has carried out bombings against several facilities in Iran, just one day after a ship was hit by a projectile off the coast of Oman, an incident that Washington attributes directly to Tehran and considers a breach of the ceasefire pre-agreement reached last week.
"US Central Command (CENTCOM) forces carried out attacks against Iran on June 26, as a forceful response to the attack perpetrated yesterday against a merchant ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz," it stated on its social media.
The attacks occur a few hours after the US president publicly denounced Iran's use of drones, calling these actions a "stupid violation" of the understanding recently reached.
