The Digitalization counselor of the Community of Madrid, Miguel López Valverde, has described as "shameful" the actions of Pedro Sánchez's Executive in the face of the Ceuta crisis, accusing several ministers of staging "a theater" while the Ceutans continue to live in a situation of "insecurity," as the first month of the mass assaults on June 30 and 31 is about to be fulfilled. In this context, he has urged the Government to abandon "negligence" and to "make decisions."
From Pelayos de la Presa, López Valverde has criticized the "theater that the ministers are staging by going to Ceuta and not resolving any problem" and has emphasized the "insecurity" that the Ceutans suffer when a month has already passed "since the invasion of our border" in the autonomous city, after the illegal entry of thousands of people who continue to be there.
"They are not providing any kind of solution," the Madrid counselor has pointed out, insisting that these people must be returned to their countries of origin and that minors must be reunited with their families. "We are seeing attacks on our military, we are also seeing how a lot of very concerning information is circulating on social networks and somehow they finally have to make decisions. We have been almost 30 days," he has emphasized.
In this same line, he has reproached Pedro Sánchez's Government for "pitting" Spain against its European partners and for taking almost 30 days to request support from the European Union. "The Government has to make decisions. It cannot be the negligence to which it has accustomed us at this point, which is very critical, because in the end it is a challenge that they are throwing at us," he has explained.
López Valverde has defended that it corresponds to the president of the Government "to be leading" the response to restore normality in Ceuta, and has reminded that the ministers must "realize" that they have competencies to exercise in this crisis.
"We have to wake up a little and ask for explanations from this Government, which day after day is pitting us against each other, confronting other partners, and not doing what they have to do: not helping, nor collaborating, nor protecting our sovereignty. And in the end, I believe that not as a politician, but as a citizen, this is already unacceptable," he has stated.
Finally, he has warned that "now we are with Ceuta, that this is an invasion. This is the most concerning and the most serious thing we have had recently. But we are the same with the part of the Catalan quota; we are right now with the amnesty of a fugitive from justice; we are with all the different judicial proceedings around the PSOE, around the president himself," he concluded, before stating: This is inconceivable what is happening in Spain.
