The president of PP-A and candidate to revalidate the Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has called this Sunday on the Andalusian citizenry to "throw themselves" behind PP-A as the "only viable project" for the regional elections on May 17. His objective is for the party to obtain "honors" at the polls and to be able to maintain an absolute or "sufficient" majority, as he himself has described it, warning that Andalusians cannot "afford the luxury" of ending up like their "Extremaduran brothers, six months paralyzed and blocked" until PP and Vox reached a government pact.

Moreno has launched this message during his speech at the closing of the Andalusian PP Intermunicipal, held this Sunday in Córdoba, an event that also counted with the presence of the national president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and numerous party officials.

Among those attending were the Deputy Secretary of Autonomous, Local Coordination and Electoral Analysis of the PP, Elías Bendodo; the president of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and mayor of Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), María José García-Pelayo, and the president of the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP) and mayor of Córdoba, José María Bellido, who spoke just before Moreno.

The leader of PP-A has underlined at the beginning of his speech that there is less than a month left until the May 17th election and has asked that no one take for granted that "this is won," alluding to a possible repeat of the 2022 result, when PP-A achieved an absolute majority of 58 seats in the Andalusian Parliament.

In this context, Moreno has recalled the Copa del Rey final played on Saturday night at the Estadio de La Cartuja in Seville, and has predicted that these elections will resemble that match between Real Sociedad and Atlético de Madrid that was decided in a penalty shootout. Therefore, he has insisted on the importance of achieving a "majority of stability, progress and future" for the PP-A.

Along the same lines, he has defended the "Andalusian path" that, as he has reiterated, the PP-A has promoted from the regional government, and has maintained that "to follow this path of progress, well-being, and future, we need a majority of stability".

"This means that we cannot settle for an outstanding," he pointed out, but rather that "we need honors," demanding that "the affection, the effort of all citizens be poured into the only viable project for Andalusia." Moreno thus appealed to "citizens who want a government for everyone, who want common sense in public life, harmony and a future," to emphasize to them that "here is the Popular Party of Andalusia" as "a project in which everyone fits" and that is "reliable, viable and for the future," as the 'popular' candidate has reiterated.
