Champions Calendar 2026-27: dates and times of Real Madrid, Barça, Atlético, Villarreal, and Betis

UEFA has confirmed this Saturday the complete schedule of the league phase of the Champions League 2026-27. Real Madrid, Barcelona, Atlético de Madrid, Villarreal, and Real Betis already know the dates and times of their eight matches, which will be played between September 8, 2026, and January 27, 2027.

The five Spanish teams that will compete in the Champions League 2026-27 can now mark their main European dates in red. After the draw held on Thursday in Monaco, UEFA published this Saturday, August 29, the final order of the league phase matches and their schedules.

The competition will kick off for the Spanish clubs on Tuesday, September 8, with Real Madrid, Villarreal, and Betis in action. Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid will start a day later. The last matchday will be played simultaneously on January 27, 2027.

Real Madrid's Schedule in Champions

The Real Madrid will begin its European journey at the Santiago Bernabéu against Inter Milan. The visit to Arsenal in December appears as one of the most demanding matches on its calendar, while it will close the league phase as a visitor against Shakhtar Donetsk.

The whites will thus play four matches at the Bernabéu and four away, following the format established by UEFA.

Barcelona's Schedule in Champions

The Barcelona will debut on Wednesday, September 9, hosting Feyenoord at 18:45 hours. Among its main dates are the visit to PSG and the home match against Manchester City.

The azulgrana team will therefore have two particularly demanding trips during the autumn: Istanbul and Paris, before hosting Manchester City in December.

Atlético de Madrid's Schedule in Champions

The start of Atlético de Madrid will be one of the toughest among the Spanish teams. The rojiblancos will debut at Anfield against Liverpool and, just a month later, will host Manchester United.

The competition will also have a special component for Diego Pablo Simeone's team: the final of this edition will be held at the Metropolitano on June 5, 2027.

Villarreal's Calendar in Champions

The Villarreal will also not have an easy path. The Yellow Submarine will start in Germany against Borussia Dortmund and during its first four matches will also face Napoli, Liverpool, and PSG.

Thus, Villarreal will have three top-level rivals in the first four matchdays, with visits to Dortmund and Anfield and PSG passing through La Cerámica.

Betis' Calendar in Champions

The Real Betis returns to the Champions League 21 years later and will begin its participation on September 8 in France against Lille. The verdiblancos will subsequently host Porto, Feyenoord, Como, and Arsenal, while they will have to travel to Dortmund, Bratislava, and Munich.

How the group stage of the Champions 2026-27 works

The Champions maintains for the third season the format of a single ranking made up of 36 teams. Each club plays eight matches against eight different rivals: four at home and four away.

The top eight teams will advance directly to the round of 16. The teams that finish between ninth and twenty-fourth place will have to play a playoff elimination round in February, while the bottom twelve will be eliminated from European competitions.

The playoffs are scheduled for February 16/17 and 23/24, 2027, the round of 16 will be played in March, the quarter-finals in April, and the semi-finals between the end of April and the beginning of May. The grand final will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2027, at the Metropolitano in Madrid.
