The Real Madrid women's team has won 0-2 against Ajax in Amsterdam in the first leg of the qualifying round of the Champions. Felicia Schröder opened the scoring with a free kick in the 42nd minute and Rosa van Gool Levels extended the lead in the second half.
Schröder once again demonstrated her scoring ability in her official European debut with the white team.
The Swede made it 0-1 just before halftime with a free kick and gave Real Madrid a lead that Pau Quesada's team managed well during the second half.
Levels then signed the second goal.
An important advantage before the return leg
The 0-2 allows the Madrid players to approach the return match at the Alfredo Di Stéfano with some margin.
The tie will decide which team advances to the league phase of the Champions, so the result from Amsterdam leaves Real Madrid in a favorable position, but still without mathematical qualification.
Schröder starts scoring
The forward had already found the net during preseason against Tottenham.
Her goal against Ajax has another value: it is her first official European goal with the white shirt and came at a decisive moment, just before halftime.
