The pizza chain Papa Johns has closed an alliance with BBVA with the objective of reinforcing its growth plan in Spain and giving an impulse to the expansion of its network of franchisees in the national market, according to a company statement.

Under this agreement, the bank will make available to Papa Johns franchisees a proposal of financial solutions tailored to the needs of their businesses, always conditioned on the usual criteria for analysis and approval by the entity.

The collaboration will be aimed at both franchisees who already operate under the brand and new investors interested in launching restaurant projects with an already consolidated international brand.

The pact is integrated into the brand's sustained growth strategy in Spain, which relies on the search for locations with high commercial potential, the creation of alliances with local partners, and the reinforcement of its positioning in strategically considered markets.

Currently, Papa Johns has 98 establishments in Spain and plans to continue expanding its network in the coming years through a combination of company-owned and franchised locations.

"For Papa Johns, having the backing of BBVA represents a very significant boost to continue developing our expansion plan in Spain. Our franchise model is a key lever for growth, because it allows us to advance hand in hand with partners who know the territory, share our brand vision, and want to be part of a solid, profitable project with a future," assured the 'managing director' of Papa Johns Iberia, Nacho González Barrajón.

For his part, the director of Expansion and Franchises of Papa Johns Spain, Iván Martín, indicated that this agreement "allows us to offer current and future franchisees an additional tool to facilitate the development of their projects." "Access to adapted financial solutions is a key factor for accelerating expansion, especially in a context where we seek to continue expanding our presence in Spain in an orderly, sustainable manner and with long-term partners," he assured.

The head of Specialized Businesses of BBVA in Spain, Lucía Frías, has congratulated herself for this alliance. "With this collaboration, we want to make it easier for new entrepreneurs to develop their project with Papa Johns in Spain, offering them adapted financial solutions and support at each stage of the business," she indicated.
