The City Council of Pinos Puente (Granada) has communicated the disappearance of an 89-year-old neighbor whose whereabouts have been unknown since this Monday at nine in the morning, the moment he was last seen near a nursing home in the locality where he resided.

According to what the mayor of the municipality, Iván Fernández, has indicated to Europa Press, a meeting is scheduled for the afternoon of this Tuesday between officials from the City Council and the Government Subdelegation in Granada to activate a search operation that will be coordinated by the Civil Guard.

On its social networks, the City Council of Pinos Puente has requested the collaboration of the citizens to try to locate this elderly man and has called this Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the facilities of the Civil Guard barracks to all those who wish to voluntarily join the search device.

In this first organized search, which will be structured by sectors and with the assignment of specific areas to ensure a continuous and effective search, the Local Police and Civil Protection of Pinos Puente will also participate.

The missing man is Antonio Rodríguez Pineda and, in the information and image disseminated, it is specified that he is a tall person, with baldness and some gray hair.

The mayor has detailed that Antonio voluntarily entered the nursing home of Pinos Puente about a week ago and, regarding the circumstances of his disappearance, he has emphasized that he is a person of high vulnerability who may show symptoms of disorientation or require medication due to suffering from Parkinson's disease.
