Housing consolidates as the main problem for Andalusians. This is reflected in the latest Barometer of the Fundación Centro de Estudios Andaluces (Centra), prepared from 3,600 interviews conducted between June 19 and July 2, which also reveals that citizens place greater trust in the government of Juanma Moreno than in the national leadership of the PP to face the main challenges.
The study shows that 26.7% of respondents consider the PP to be the party most capable of solving the problems of Andalusia, while that support drops to 21.5% when the question refers to the whole of Spain, a difference of more than five points that evidences a better assessment of regional management.
Housing leads the concerns of Andalusians
Access to housing appears as the main problem both in Andalusia and in the whole country. However, the order of the following concerns changes depending on the scope.
In Andalusia, after housing, health (14.3%) and unemployment (13.7%) are listed, followed by distrust towards politics and corruption (9%). The functioning of the economy and the increase in the cost of living are also concerning.
When respondents assess national problems, corruption and political dissatisfaction move to second place, with 21% of responses, ahead of unemployment.
Illegal immigration, one of the most present issues in the political debate in recent months, is relegated to seventh place both in Andalusia (3.9%) and in the whole of Spain (2.7%).
Adelante Andalucía surpasses PSOE in trust
One of the most striking data from the survey is that Adelante Andalucía is positioned as the second political force that Andalusians trust the most to solve the problems of the community.
The party led by José Ignacio García obtains a 16.5%, ahead of PSOE (12.3%) and Vox (9.4%). In addition, 18.4% of respondents believe that none of the parties offer solutions to the problems of Andalusia.
At the national level, the PP also leads the ranking, followed by PSOE, Vox, Adelante Andalucía, and Sumar. In this case, the most repeated option is precisely "none," chosen by 28.6% of participants.
Personal economy improves, but almost a third will not have vacations
The barometer also analyzes the economic perception of Andalusian households. Almost half of the respondents rate their economic situation as good.
Despite this, 29.9% say they will not take a vacation this summer, while another 15.8% claim they probably will not make plans either. Among those who will travel, the most common destination will be another Andalusian province, followed by other autonomous communities and abroad.
Seven out of ten Andalusians have already used artificial intelligence
The study dedicates a specific section to artificial intelligence. According to the data, 70% of Andalusians have used some AI tool, with ChatGPT being the most known and used (45.6%), followed by Gemini (32.8%) and Copilot (7.5%).
The most frequent use is related to work (24.3%), although it is also used for personal inquiries (17%) and for studies or training (13.1%). In addition, almost eight out of ten users consider these tools to be quite or very useful.
Looking to the future, 45.8% believe that artificial intelligence will have a positive impact on society, while just over a third think it will lead to the disappearance of part of the current employment, although the majority believe it will also generate new job opportunities.
