The website of the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC) remains temporarily out of service after receiving thousands of simultaneous irregular accesses, as reported by the regulatory body itself.

The incident was detected on the morning of this Thursday, May 14, and has prevented the normal functioning of the institutional portal. Sources from the CNMC, chaired by Cani Fernández, have confirmed that technical teams are working to contain the attack, reinforce the security of the systems, and restore service as soon as possible.

The CNMC is one of the key institutions of the State to guarantee the proper functioning of markets and protect free competition in Spain. Its work covers strategic sectors such as energy, telecommunications, transport, and postal services.
