Boluda Corporación Marítima has officially launched its new headquarters in the Netherlands, located in the historic Maritime District of Rotterdam. From these facilities, it will coordinate the activity of its subsidiaries Boluda Towage and Boluda Shipping in Northern Europe, an area that the company considers key within its international expansion plan.

The opening ceremony was presided over by the president of Boluda Corporación Marítima, Vicente Boluda Fos, accompanied by the executive president of Boluda Towage, Vicente Boluda Ceballos; the executive president of Boluda Shipping, Ignacio Boluda Ceballos, and the group's corporate director, Verónica Boluda Ceballos.

Also participating in the inauguration were the Port Master of Rotterdam, René de Vries, representing the Port Authority, as well as the Director General of the Merchant Navy of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Ana Núñez.

Boost to the strategy in Northern Europe

Boluda has emphasized that Northwestern Europe concentrates some of the continent's main logistical, industrial, and maritime hubs and that, in the last ten years, the company has consolidated a reference position there thanks to the provision of maritime services in several of Europe's busiest ports and logistics corridors.

The Boluda Towage division landed in Northern Europe in 2017 with its arrival in Germany and subsequently extended its operations to the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Finland, and Norway, with Rotterdam consolidated as one of its most relevant operational centers.

Currently, this towing area operates in more than 21 ports in the region and has a fleet of 138 vessels with local crews.

On the other hand, Boluda Shipping intensified its presence in Northern Europe in 2023 by launching regular short-sea shipping services between the Iberian Peninsula and the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, thus reinforcing Rotterdam's role as a logistics hub within its European network.
