The Japanese bank Mizuho has announced the appointment of Borja Zamorano as the new Head of Corporate and Investment Banking for Europe, as detailed by the entity in a statement.
From this position, Zamorano will assume the definition of regional strategy, the improvement of commercial performance, and the reinforcement of Mizuho's global investment banking franchise in these markets.
“As the European branch of the Corporate and Investment Banking franchise continues to grow, I am excited to take on this responsibility that will allow Mizuho to develop deeper client relationships and a better business in Europe,” Zamorano stated.
The banker has accumulated 15 years of experience at Mizuho. Additionally, he will combine these new functions with those of head of coverage for European companies and head of the Madrid branch.
