The Union of Independent Oil Companies (UPI) has announced the adhesion of Tamoil España, a subsidiary of the Dutch group Oilinvest, as a new associated company.
Present in the national market since 1989, Tamoil España controls the complete cycle of supply, transport, and sale of petroleum products, mainly through its network of service stations operating under the Tamoil brand.
UPI emphasized that it "thus strengthens its representation of the group of wholesale operators without refining capacity in the Spanish fuel sector that brings effective competition to the Spanish fuel market."
The organization brings together wholesale fuel operators without refining capacity in Spanish territory, companies dedicated to import, trading, wholesale and retail distribution, as well as storage and transport of fuels.
Currently, companies such as Axoil Energy, Bonarea Energía, Disa, Kuwait Petroleum España, Impala 2000, and Meroil, among others, are part of UPI.
