The Council of Ministers has given the green light to the appointment of Lorena González Olivares as the new head of the autonomous body National Institute of Public Administration (INAP), in replacement of Manuel Pastor, who had been performing this function since November 2024.
González Olivares has developed a good part of her professional career in the field of Public Administration, where she has held responsibilities as head of the cabinet of the Secretary General for Public Administration, participating in the drafting of relevant regulations such as the Basic Statute of Public Employees or the Law of Agencies.
Likewise, she has held other positions in the General Administration, including that of head of cabinet of the Undersecretary of Economy and Competitiveness and that of advisor to the Minister of Education and Vocational Training.
Throughout her career, the new director of INAP has taken on various public responsibilities, including that of general director of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts, Secretary General of the National Competition Commission, director of Administration and Media, and manager of the board of directors of National Heritage.
INAP is an autonomous body attached to the Ministry of Territorial Policy and Public Function, responsible for the training of public employees and the selection of various bodies and scales of the General State Administration (AGE).
