Wingstop, the American restaurant chain specialized in chicken wings, reinforces its bet on the Spanish market with the opening of its first establishment in Barcelona, as detailed in a statement.

This new restaurant will open its doors on August 26 at the Westfield La Maquinista shopping center, one of the main commercial and leisure hubs of the Catalan capital. The venue will have 268 square meters on a single floor and will offer capacity to accommodate 128 diners.

The arrival in Barcelona comes after the inauguration this year of its first two physical restaurants in Madrid and after four years operating solely through the 'delivery' channel on Uber Eats.

In 2026, the company specialized in chicken wings began a new phase focused on strengthening its network of own locations, with the goal of bringing the complete Wingstop experience to new markets and communities.

With this opening in Barcelona, the firm enters a new strategic location within the Spanish market and advances in its roadmap to gradually increase its physical presence in Spain.

Wingstop is integrated into Wingstop Inc., a company founded in 1994 and based in Dallas (Texas), which manages and franchises more than 3,000 restaurants in the United States, Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, of which 98% are operated by franchised partners of the brand.
