The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, has stated he feels "perplexed" after the music video for 'Kilómetro Sur' was released this Wednesday, the musical theme recorded by the PP-A candidate for re-election as president of the Junta, Juanma Moreno, as part of his campaign for the regional elections on May 17.

"It seems that Moreno is the one who decides in Andalusia when the mourning ends and when one can start singing, when the party begins. He has decided to go from mourning to Operación Triunfo in a matter of seconds," he declared at a press conference in Mijas (Málaga).

The national leader of Vox has reprimanded the PP-A candidate for the criticism he launched against the party for not having interrupted his electoral events after the death of two civil guards on the coast of Huelva last Friday, and has reiterated that what "must be suspended are the policies that cause the deaths of civil guards".

"I am concerned to see Mr. Moreno so scandalized by this and as soon as the mourning ends, as if it were a mathematical, administrative thing, we see him singing so relaxed and partying. I try to understand what is behind it and I can only understand that behind it there is nervousness," he stressed.

Abascal has described this situation as "a smokescreen" and has paralleled it with the central government's management of the hantavirus crisis, two actions that, in his opinion, are "aimed at diverting attention".

"Mr. Moreno does not want to talk about insecurity, about the migratory invasion, about the collapse of hospitals, talk about the problems of Andalusians, then he starts singing. I think it is a profound error, an offense to the citizens and we are going to do politics for adults, for serious people, we take the problems of Andalusians seriously," he remarked.
