The Minister of Health, Presidency and Emergencies of the Junta de Andalucía, Antonio Sanz, clarified this Sunday, in his appearance to report on the progress of participation until 2:00 PM, that the Electoral Board of Andalusia (JEA) does not authorize the dissemination of scrutiny data before 8:43 PM, although it will allow the publication of polls from 8:00 PM.
"Taking into account previous precedents, the Electoral Board of Andalusia has informed us that polls will be allowed to be disseminated at 8:00 PM, by virtue of the activity protected by Article 20 of the Constitution and in application of the principle of proportionality," declared the minister. Immediately thereafter, he pointed out that the JEA "will not allow data to be disseminated via the web or the mobile application until 8:43 PM, when the last polling station closes."
In this way, Sanz detailed that the criterion set by the Andalusian Electoral Board is that "as long as a polling station is open, data will not be disseminated through the corresponding official web pages or 'app'."
In the same vein, the head of Health, Presidency and Emergencies emphasized that the dissemination of polls is authorized "to those companies that carry them out or those media outlets that are going to disseminate them."
